Job Description:
Assign projects and programs to the purchasing and warehouse departments across the organization.
Coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling and distributing materials, equipment, machinery and supplies.
Evaluate daily operations.
Plan and control budget and expenditures.
Plan and organize daily operations.
Review purchase order claims and contracts to determine compliance with company policy.
Hire, train, direct and motivate staff.
Plan, develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures.
Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods or services.
Authorize the development of specifications for products or services.
Manage contracts.
Review and process claims against suppliers.
Oversee the analysis of data and information.
Oversee the preparation of reports.
Advise senior management.
Organize and maintain inventory.
Maintain office filing, document control, and records management.
Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments.
Support senior management with administrative tasks, scheduling, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Source and evaluate domestic and international suppliers for fabrics, garments, trims, and accessories.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and supply agreements with overseas suppliers.
Prepare and issue purchase orders and monitor order progress from production to shipment.
Coordinate sample development, lab dips, strike-offs, and product approvals with suppliers and buyers.
Evaluate fabric and yarn specifications to ensure they meet product quality, performance, and buyer requirements.
Provide technical guidance on fabric construction, yarn composition, calculate garments fabric consumption, dyeing, knitting, weaving, and finishing processes during product development and sourcing.
Assess fabric quality, weight, hand feel, color consistency, shrinkage, and performance to support purchasing decisions.
Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
Work closely with production, quality assurance, logistics, and finance departments to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Coordinate international imports and shipping documentation with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
Analyze market trends and supplier quotations to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Resolve supplier issues related to quality, shortages, delayed deliveries, and claims.
Maintain strong business relationships with suppliers in Bangladesh, India, China, and other sourcing markets.
Communicate with international suppliers in English, Bengali, and Hindi to facilitate efficient procurement and negotiations.
Requirements:
-Education: A bachelor's degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce, economics or related is required.
-Experience: At least 5 years of experience as purchasing agent or officer or in a position related to office administration or manager is required.

-Special Requirements: Advanced knowledge of new yarn dyeing, knitting, linking, woven & sweater auto-machine technology, design concepts, and European sweater yarn concepts is a strong asset.
- Commercial Banking knowledge such as Letter of Credit, international wire transfer and Customs Documentation is a strong asset.
-Supervise: 3–4 staff members
- Languages: English is required. Bengali and Hindi are strong assets.
Salary: $53.85 hourly, 30-40 Hours per week.

Important Information:
The candidate will work 6-8 hours per day from Monday to Friday, between 9am to 8pm. Work on weekends; on-call or overtime may be required when production issues arise or when attending online meetings across different time zones.
